The History Of Mother’s Day…

Honouring our Mothers is not a new concept. Basically, this has been going on for centuries! The ancient Greeks were the first to pay homage to mothers. It was a spring celebration in honour of Rhea, the Mother of the Gods. During the 1600’s England began to celebrate “Mothering Sunday”, which is held on the fourth Sunday of Lent.
